Abby’s House holds silent auction

Abby's HouseAbby’s House: Center for Women and Families, at Western Oregon University, will hold their annual Silent Auction from Nov. 28 to 30. Bidding will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Nov. 28 and 29final bids will be collected from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 30. The auction will take place in the Werner University Center’s Calapooia Room. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be provided from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 28 and 29. All proceeds from the auction go towards Abby’s House. Parking for the auction will be available in Lot H. A campus map can be found at wou.edu.

Abby’s House already has a fantastic set of gift certificates and tickets to bid on. Some of the items included are:

-Movie passes to the Independence Cinema and to Cinebarre in Salem
-Restaurant gift certificates to Caruso’s in Keizer, and Mo’s on the coast
-Mini golf Passes at Best Little Roadhouse in Salem
-Tickets to Portland Center Stage, Pentacle Theater in Salem, and the Salem Chamber Orchestra
-Guest passes to Discovery Village children’s museum and Enchanted Forest in Salem
-Guests passes to The Columbia Gorge Maritime Museum, The Oregon Garden, The Pittock Mansion, and the Chinese Garden in Portland.

Abby’s House is a resource and referral center available to students, faculty, staff and members of the community. They offer resources and referrals for a large variety of issues including sexual assault, domestic violence and harassment.  Abby’s House is located in the Werner University Center Room 108.
